Iceland Series: Exploring Reykjavik

Right after we landed in Keflavik Airport, we picked up our rental car then dropped off our luggage at our Room & Breakfast. A quick change of clothes then we were off. We drove to Reykjavik, its 46KM from our Room & Breakfast in Keflavik.

36 hours of no sleep, we could not sleep during our flight. The plane is so uncomfortable and we are too excited. πŸ™‚

We arrived in Reykjavik and we so amazed with the place, and its feels good to finally be here. I’ve been reading articles about Iceland and watching youtube video but it is really a different feeling when you are there and experience Iceland first hand. It’s a small city but it is really beautiful.

Every corner of Reykjavik is buzzing with tourist and I think Iceland just may have more tourist than locals LOL. Reykjavik has construction everywhere, they are so busy fixing and adding new buildings because of their booming tourism.

It is also hard to look for parking and like everything else in Iceland parking fee is expensive. We paid 150 ISK or about 1.50 USD at the time per hour. After we found us an available spot and parked our rental car. We were on the hunt to look for a coffee shop, luckily we didn’t have to look far as we found Te & Kaffi , it is their version of Starbucks in Iceland and you can find it on just about every corner of Reykjavik. I will post a separate blog about Te & Kaffi so watch out for it. πŸ™‚

I can’t really recommend anything about Reykjavik (yet πŸ˜‰ ) because it’s our first time and our visit was just too short. We just wanted to share our experiences and our short adventure and sharing some street photos and videos while in Reykjavik. Enjoy and if you’ve been to Iceland and have some recommendations please feel free to email us or comment down below. We are planning to go back in the winter to see the Northern Lights. So until next time Iceland… we’ll be back.
